In the spirit of reconciliation, we honour and acknowledge that we are gathered on the ancestral and traditional territory of the Blackfoot Confederacy, made up of the Siksika, Piikani, Amskaapipiikani and Kainai First Nations; the Îethka Nakoda Wîcastabi  First Nations, comprised of the Chiniki, Bearspaw, and Goodstoney First Nations; and the Tsuut’ina First Nation. The city of Calgary is also homeland to the historic Northwest Oh-tih-pem-soo-wuk Métis and to Métis Nation of Alberta, Districts 5 & 6. We are grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are still with us today and those who have gone before us. We acknowledge all Nations, Indigenous and non, who live, work and play and help us steward this land, honour and celebrate this territory.
